Delivery promise, returns and tracking on your storefront

Show when an order will arrive, let shoppers return items and follow their parcel — inside your own storefront.

Show the delivery promise

These APIs are part of Nucleo Orders. If the settings pages below are not visible in your Nucleo, ask us to enable Orders for your company.

The Delivery Promise API tells shoppers when an item or a cart will arrive, before they buy, using the same stock, calendars, cutoffs and carriers Nucleo uses to ship the real order.

  1. In Nucleo, go to Settings > Orders > Shipping and delivery > Delivery promise and turn it on.
  2. Add your storefront's domains to allowed origins.
  3. Copy the token, or the ready-made Shopify snippet from the same page.
  4. On the product page call the API with sku and qty; in the cart, with items. Show message as it is: it is already in the shopper's language and its countdown is current.

The Shopify snippet also saves the promised dates in the cart attribute _nucleo_promise, so the order arrives in Nucleo with the date the shopper saw.

Build your own returns flow

Nucleo hosts a returns page for every store. To offer returns inside your own storefront or app, use the Returns Portal API behind it — same rules, same policy, no API key:

  1. GET / — branding and rules of the portal (languages, how the shopper is verified).
  2. POST /lookup — order number plus email or postcode; you get a session token valid one hour.
  3. GET /order — what can be returned, reasons, refund, exchange and store-credit options, fees.
  4. POST /returns — create the return, with up to three photos.
  5. GET /r/{token} and GET /r/{token}/label — status page and return label, any time later.

The portal's slug is the last part of the link shown in Settings > Orders > Returns and refunds > Return portal. If your server calls the API on the shopper's behalf, forward the shopper's IP in X-Forwarded-For: limits are counted per shopper.

Show parcel tracking

Every shipment has a public tracking token — the last segment of the tracking link in shipping notifications. GET /public/tracking/{token} returns the brand, the order, the status, the estimated delivery and the event history, with no personal data beyond the shopper's first name and destination city. See Shipment Tracking.
